I can appreciate what Solondz was going for, but there were moments where I was just thinking, “Girl, does this man need therapy?” The film tackles dark topics in a very provocative way, and while that makes it memorable, it also makes it a difficult watch.

i genuinely don’t even know what to say 

it’s not shocking in the way people hype it up to be? it’s more just…off. disorienting, but not in a way that fully lands. it keeps swapping identities and tones like it’s trying to say something profound, but it never quite clicks, it just leaves this weird, hollow feeling instead.

also. why is dawn wiener dead. i do NOT approve. that alone altered my mood for the rest of the film.

i didnt even understand the pacing of the movie until the end but oh my god but i loved the changing actors for aviva and how she constantly changes over the course of her life but at some points she becomes who she used tobe again if that makes sense i loved how it was directed in a way where ANYONE can be aviva
