“Little lady, you’ll get the machete”
“But I don’t know how to shoot a machete.”
What this lacks in budget, it makes up for in heart.
Feels like John Hughes made a film for MTV with zombies!
There’s a lot of jokes that wouldn’t really fly now, but they are thrown out with an innocence, that even the “bully” character’s foul mouthed insults feel more par-for-the-course, than truly hateful.
Filled with practical FX and slapstick humor, so it’s no wonder Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert picked it up for distribution! Plus the zombies have fully white eyes (ie Evil Dead) and that always works for me!
3 and a half / 5 stars! 🌟
