Went in with huge expectations and feel let down. Great beginning loses its footing very fast. There is some good here, but the fact that the first two characters killed are black queer women, while the white gay character survives as the final girl left a bad taste in my mouth. You don’t make a horror slasher without knowing the rules of its genre, and horror has treated its black characters too badly for too long.
