A lot of people didn’t really like this one when it came out and I don’t really know why because I loved it. I felt like it wrapped up the Katniss story up very well and was an emotional rollercoaster. There were two deaths that really hurt to watch, Finnicks was probably the hardest, like the man just got married and died such a horrible death sacrificing himself for Katniss. A sad death for sure but nothing beat the Prim death, like Katniss do everything in the arena and out of the arena to keep Prim and her mom safe and in the end it was all in vain. Let that sink in. The twist at the end of the movie with the execution was pretty satisfying though, much deserved after the whole hunger games speech. My major flaw with this movie comes with the oil sequence, it felt too perfect the oil stopped at those stairs and also it was a cheap cop out that the cameras were so low, like come on they definitely had at least one camera at the top of the building for sure. I thought the pods were pretty cool, especially the oil and light ones. The mutts were also dope, gave me the descent vibes with the mutts. All in all stellar movie with a few flaws that was really well tied together with a phenomenal ending. The whole end sequence when Peeta shows up and then them in the future was so well done especially with the music, this is one of those movies that I sit there and listen to the music of the end credits. It was tied with a bow so nicely, yeah I’ll watch this again.
