*“…dignity and potential rather than punishment.” * An absolute must watch for anyone who has watched the 2023 film Sing Sing or is simply interested in gaining a small insight into rehabilitation through the arts (RTA) program. It is a short but impactful view into the lives of former incarcerated people who found/reconnected with themselves through the powerful art of theater. The program seems to work wonders. I have many thoughts about the prison system but first and foremost I believe the initialization of rehabilitation programs must be widespread across the nation. There is so much potential waiting to be unlocked.
