Queens of the Dead is a fun and campy indie horror that doesn't take itself too seriously, making for an imaginative and funny take on the zombie genre. The plot isn't very complex, which makes it super easy to follow alongside a whole host of characters, and the cast do a really good job at maintaining the hilarity of the script while still being serious when the time calls for it. The makeup and special effects could use some work, but in the grand scheme of things it's not that important; I will say though that even though it's only an hour and forty minutes, it could be shortened even more, because some parts just feel like filler. However, with that being said, I enjoyed the hell out of this, and seeing my queen Dominique Jackson makes me want to rewatch Pose (if you haven't seen Pose, drop everything you're doing and go watch it immediately).
