5 stars bc the showcase of footage from 2019-23 khartoum is limited, the messaging is necessary viewing, and presenting sudanese ppl (and the struggle through revolution and war) to international viewers is always a feat. The intention is fully there, but I can’t help but have thoughts on the production, the filmmaker, and the editing. either way, watch!!!

Il n’y a rien de plus bouleversant que de voir la jeunesse soudanaise porter la révolution à travers des poèmes d’une force rare. Au fil du documentaire l’espoir s’efface peu à peu, laissant place aux larmes et aux dessins qui pleurent les morts. Des témoignages poignants d’un peuple qui continue de résister, malgré la répression.
