I’ve never seen a Highlander movie before, but if this is regarded as one of the better ones then maybe I don’t need to.
This is easily Kawajiris worst looking movie. Sure, it has a few moments where it looks quite good, but those don’t compare to the amounts the movie looks just plain bad. Then there are the characters, who seem like bad cardboard copies of other Kawajiri characters from his earlier, way better movies and of course I can’t write this without mentioning the horrendous dialogue and the voice acting that levels it’s „quality“.
Overall this did have a few moments that I liked and I enjoyed the concept but this is definitely Kawajiris worst.
