Before we get started:
(I have been wanting to watch this for a few years now. Heard about this film because Steve Taylor - CCM rockstar legend, family friend - produced it)
Ok now for the review:
The films concept is really fun. Sketch tackles themes of grief with goonies adjacent adventure/children fun. The child actors are really good, particularly the bully.
The effects are truly something else. For a low budget film, the cgi can go toe to toe against a lot of Hollywood.
Some of the dialogue is a little childish, which wouldn’t be a problem as it’s centred for kids, however some of the scenes would be a little scary potentially unsuitable. I would recommend it for year 4 upwards.
Overall, what an awesome film!
