Basically, it feels like two edgelord gym bros screaming slurs at one another until it turns into something far uglier. All it ends up being is endurance art. Like I felt the institutional rot, where authority collapses into sadism and survival mutates into cruelty. The fugue state and improvisational logic became too pitch black, and the hamminess overwhelms the intent. Mainly, it lost the plot to fixate on sheer revulsion. Endless, aggressively in-your-face, and fundamentally inhumane.

It's just awful that Russians know that The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is about Vietnam, etc., but when it comes to Russia, no one suddenly cares about the socio-historical and political context.
In any case, there will always be ignoramuses.
The anti-war message and disdain for the army and the prison system, it's even possible to see a parallel with the excessive emphasis on war in school curricula right now and those damn military parades. It made me sick, but I can look past it.
Real anti-war films should be brutal and nauseating at times, not these million-dollar blockbusters.
