i rarely say this… but this honestly might’ve worked better as a short film.
i wish that, in exploring the idea of “first times,” the film dared to look beyond the usual beauty and romance of it all. first times are awkward. they’re messy. there are mistakes, miscommunications, and, especially with (you know…) gay sex, so many specific intricacies that could’ve made this story feel genuinely honest and interesting.

Viscerally upsetting/nauseating for me,, I guess due to some of my own lived experiences that I've tried to bury the memories of. Pins and needles in my face for most of the short runtime which felt like 9 hours.. therapist shall certainly be hearing about this one
