loved bert in the first half but he lost me in the second.

I watched this film only seeing small teasers so going in all I knew was it was a black historical film I dont watch historical films alot but seeing as I learned something new about my culture history it did touch my heart deep im sad though finding out that the actor Zachary Levi is Maga considering the character he was given was basically white savior and when I watched a interview he said "he really wanted to be apart of telling this story" which makes me sad knowing his intentions were most likely actually poorly intend for his benefit but I think its worth watching and educate you.

I wrote this off the week it came out as there were other interesting things for me to watch that week, but it's an interesting movie, telling a story of a young black girl succeeding in a time when we weren't expected to. I like the performance from Naya Desir-Johnson, and Zachary Levi is... there. I was happy to have my expectations exceeded.
