No Rain. Some Thunder.

Banjo Donkey-Boy-Athon: The Return Film #2

“This has been my best day of all time.”

The final scene brought tears to my eyes it’s so heartwarming. This is my Cinema Paradiso, my Babylon. I will definitely be revisiting when I need a warm hug, this is phenomenal warm hug cinema. Will Poulter’s great, he’s always been great. Perfectly captures the fun and essence of childlike wonder and imagination. Hanging out in the bush with your friends and letting your mind run wild. Reminds me of making silly films with my cousin, making YouTube videos as a kid, playing make-believe in the overgrown backyard with my sister. Good times. Same reasons I love **My Neighbour Totoro *except applied to a filmmaking context. Close To Me by The Cure?* Wonderful film.

Different for a change, it’s genuinely enjoyable at times and I prefer this to the original Rambo.
