in 1948, the right to life officially became recognised as a universal human right, but did nobody stop to question the meaning of it?
society guaranteed us a chance at "life", yet "living" seemed to have become a privilege.
we don't live anymore, we are not allowed to feel anymore and if you dare to yearn for emotional fufillmemt, rather than being recognised as a praiseworthy worker, you are labelled as an idealist, as if it is something derogatory.
yet the reality is: society never progressed when it was just trying to survive. it progressed thanks to our human condition to seek out more than just a sustainable living, it progressed thanks to poetry, music, painting, science - all thanks to those who dared to pay attention to the seemingly insignificant things in life and find beauty in it and then further showcase it to the world.
so if you ever feel "empty", "numb", "unable" to feel i don't think that makes you the broken one, but rather one of the few who realised that life does not guarantee living unless you seek it out, even when the journey towards it seems hard, almost impossible.
so no matter what people tell you, wanting to simply "live" is a worthy and commendable goal in this lifetime :)
