c.ai getting too crazy these days…
This movie is actually really beautiful. I love the depiction of grief and how hard letting go is, as shown with Rama that chooses to cope with I-Bu rather than accepting his mom’s death. I think it really shows how impactful denial is for a grieving person, and how it can takeover their life for the worse. However, it still has many imperfections: the acting didn’t really do it for me and I think there were a few miss in the drama aspects. I also think there is a lack of consistency, especially regarding Rama’s friends and the dad’s relationship with I-Bu. As at one point, all of them are against this AI program. But all of a sudden in the next scene, their thoughts change fast and they somehow agree with the presence of I-Bu (this applies mostly to Robert, cause this dude just keep changing his opinion numerous times in the movie). Though with all those complains I have, I can still feel the effort put into this, as it delivers a really great message. And there were a few things that I could relate to from this film, so it kinda hits. The ending was so wholesome too, and I left the cinema in a somewhat peaceful state, decent film. But overall, I feel like this is an example of great concept mid execution.
