was expecting more of a Misery plot line but was pleasantly surprised at this actually being both a dark comedy and a thoughtful meditation on commitment issues and the desperation for connection in the modern dating age. really enjoyed John Reynolds’ comedic presence and timing in this, was also kind of taken aback by the first act because of how beautifully shot some of the scenes were. probably one of my ten favorites of the year
