About as pretentious and “Oscar baity” a short film can get. Two People Exchanging Saliva is an interesting short film, set in a fictional world where goods are exchanged for slaps, instead of money. And if you’re caught kissing somebody, you’ll be sentenced to death.

It’s a weird idea, and I think it does a good job at executing it. What I got from this film is the absurdity of our repressive society, and what exactly would happen if elites/those in power could regulate our emotions.
