To begin Pride Month I watch a film about my favourite pair of robots, who might be a bit gay.
Daft Punk is one of my favourite bands ever. They were the first band that I got introduced to with albums. Discovery was the first album that I knew as an interconnected storyline (In part to Interstella 5555), it is one of my favourite albums of all time and a big part of my childhood. I can put on those albums and even the other stuff they have made. I remember in 2021 when they put an end to the band as they wanted to pursue other career paths separately. But also with a world coming to AI, Humans being Robots trying to be Human was almost scary.
This slow mesmerizing masterpiece is unlike anything and made by the most appropriate but most unlikely directors. For their debut and finale. They made one of the greatest films I have ever seen. Also the damn robots have made me cry how many times now?
Thank you, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo

these youtube comments are clutching at straws trying to make this some deep poetic commentary on fame but, as much as they are one of my favourite bands, this film is actually incredibly shallow and reveals nothing about the duo that made it, modern society or even the society in the film. it’s a boring premise with imagery that has no relation to the films messaging, pacing that seems intellectual but is actually boring, tacky experimentalism icl. i’m glad they didn’t stick with this concept, human after all is not a great album, all hail discovery and random access memories 🤗🤗
anyway interstellar 5555 is actually amazing
this is dook
this has a 3.7 because it’s only the fans that are watching it in 2026 and not the general public, this is a pretty hated movie but not on here ig
