One of those films that will haunt me for the rest of my life.
A beautiful and unique narrative focusing on a group of gay men living in post-war Jugoslavia. The entire cast delivers outstanding performances - but the most striking (and painful) part is how clearly the film reflects the current political climate in many (ex-Jugoslav) countries, despite being set in the 1950s.
The characters felt too real, reminded me too much of real experiences and conversations, and made me question a lot.
It hit uncomfortably close to home - but I am grateful it did.
