Fifth Avenue socialite Irene Bullock needs a "forgotten man" to win a scavenger hunt, and no one is more forgotten than Godfrey Park, who resides in a dump by the East River. Irene hires Godfrey as a servant for her riotously unhinged family, to the chagrin of her spoiled sister, Cornelia, who tries her best to get Godfrey fired. As Irene falls for her new butler, Godfrey turns the tables and teaches the frivolous Bullocks a lesson or two.

He gentrified the dump!
This is exactly the energy and pace I like my comedies at. I feel like I just discovered how Gilmore Girls happened. And I’ve always felt that the best way to critique the rich is by portraying them as spoiled buffoons. They don’t hear or respect your preaching but their insecurities always hear your laughter at their expense.

I hate rating this movie so low but it just wasn’t for me It felt very long and had too much dialogue if that makes sense I only really watched it bc if William Powell but I also loved Irene’s dramatic character
