Obviously don't have to say that Parkland was a terrible event, but as a documentary I'm not really sure what the point of this was. I'd estimate 2/3 of it was just footage of the trial; anyone can find that on youtube. That is my issue, this could have been a documentary about Sam herself, but we barely get to see her; well, we actually see her a lot, when the camera just captures her watching footage of the trial or 12 angry men without her saying anything. Make this a documentary about the trial, or make it about Sam (the better choice), but this ends up doing neither. Sam does read some poetry, which I assume she wrote, and I found the best part to be when she delivers the victim impact statement, but this was a very needless documentary that somehow didn't elicit many great feelings from me, even though I recall being in high school during Parkland.
