Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein jump into a forbidden office romance in the imaginative titled office romance. This new rom com walks the line between fun and cliche. It walks so tightly that is falls into both sides making it both a sweet movie but covered in cliches.
The story follows the ceo of an airline as she and the new lawyer at her company fall into a romance their company outlaws.
The story is entertaining enough. I'm not above liking a silly rom com. That being said office romance sometimes go to much into the tropes. I liked the will or won't they part, that was fun and sweet. The middle was fine but went on for a bit too long. The third act fell perfectly in that cliche ending with all the good and bad about it. The end credits scene was pretty funny though and had me laughing.
The characters were all charming and likeable. The best were J Lo and Brett. They carried the movie and their romance was sweet. The HR guy was definitely the funniest character. The best friend had her moments too especially at the end. All the characters were entertaining but just done better before in better movies.
The movie had its share of laughs. As stated before the HR guy especially at the end had me laughing. The different uses of a certain word starting with C was funny too. The ending had its laughs with how is to much. So I can say the movie made me laugh. It's not the funniest but had its moments.

I honestly don't think I can rate anything with Brett Goldstein under a 7/10 .
