What a great and amazing horror recommend it

Holy hell this movie was so far ahead of its time, and yet so obviously portraying the 40s gothic horror genre, dare I say defining what it was and bringing it to life. 

All characters are intriguing, all stories add to the experience and the wrap-around ending was so good it had my jaw on the floor, smiling at my screen like a maniac. The special effects might be funny, yet so good for their time, and the ever-changing narrative storytelling was clever, especially since it all came together at the end (wink).
 
If you like subtle, vintage thrillers with a hint of psychological background and endings that simultaneously make perfect sense yet no sense at all, this is it. Truly became one of my favourites in my first watch!

Another old one that managed to hit right. It’s kind of like a watered down series of twilight zone episodes smashed into a movie with a frame plot. It’s basically actors speaking everything you need to know in rapid fire cadence but you’re hooked to know what the twists are gonna be. Absolutely loved the golf segment. It’s so dumb it rules.

I don’t think there’s anything to think about overall, just pulling off a good twist for pure entertainment.

Some good stories, like the ones about the mirror and the dummy. The golf one was my least favorite, weird tonal shift especially being in between the ones I just mentioned
