Frustrated with babysitting on yet another weekend night, Sarah, a teenager with an active imagination, summons the Goblins to take her baby stepbrother away. When little Toby actually disappears, Sarah must follow him into a fantastical world to rescue him from the Goblin King. Guarding his castle is the labyrinth itself, a twisted maze of deception, populated with outrageous characters and unknown dangers.

I wonder what the glitter budget for this movie?> Closer to a 3.5
I saw this with other members of a cult movie club I'm VP of, and it was very fun. I'm glad that I rewatched this as I received some playful pushback from some acting classmates last spring. There are so many great things about this movie, from David Bowie's iconic performance, the great blocking, and puppetry that is still impressive 40 years later. I do still have complaints about Jennifer Connelly's performance, but she is still a great actress. There is a ton to admire, and I see myself rewatching this.
