These kinds of coming-of-age films are always cute and something i always appreciate as i can always relate to the premise. But it’s giving very much of that “john green fake deep” that is almost always seen in every “idk what to do after high school!” coming-of-age subgenre throughout the 2010s so it brings nothing new to the picture when it comes to storytelling. The actors do a decent job at bringing that existential crisis to life though especially the main leads Mark McKenna (watched this for him specifically) and Lukita Maxwell but ultimately, i feel like this movie’s just reheating The Spectacular Now’s nachos, and i feel like that would be a much better watch if you’re in the mood for a dull but relatable teen coming-of-age film.

Had no idea this was a premier until like an hour before the showing, also, the music box is an amazing theater.
This movie was so beautiful and real, glad I could watch it basically where it’s set.
