Good: big ass action sequences at the end, the heavy directorial style (which I'll get into), Kaori Momoi, Yusuke Iseya. Iseya's character Yoshitsune is a first ballot Hall of Fame aura farmer. His swag was so great only Death could stop him from aura farming. One really interesting part of this movie is actually the costume design, it's like this crazy blend between old school Japanese robes, western cowboy drip and what was contemporary Japanese street fashion. Actually super cool, I kept noticing the outfits the rival gangs were wearing because of this blend
Meh: the entire plot. I did not care about almost anything that happened in this movie. Most of the characters outside of the ones I already said.
Not for me: Quentin Tarantino did not need to be in this. He does not bring anything interesting to this movie other than the fact that he's there. Guy's not a good actor. On a similar note, why is this movie entirely in English? It is admittedly interesting to my American ear to hear Japanese people speak English but honestly this movie would have so much more merit to me if they just spoke in fucking Japanese lmao.
Visually I have to say I really enjoyed watching this, it seems very clear to me that they bit off Tarantino's whole flow and I think they included him in this movie so he wouldn't sue them lol. It was an okay time.
