Mārama is a well executed anti-colonial gothic horror. Style, Structure, Substance ✅ Nice cinematography and score.
Main complaint would be everything was just a little too easy for the protagonist in the third act, would’ve hit harder if the stakes felt higher. Overall I was impressed with this though, sucker for gothic horror and a good vengeance story. Glad AMC showed this, hope a good streaming service picks it up so more people see it
