There are two Diddy name drops within 90 seconds.> Unprompted Kristen Schaal appearance.I've always loved Steve Bescemi, so hearing he had a leading role in this and 'Living in Oblivion' resulted in both being on my radar for a couple of years now. Buscemi is awesome in this. Les is a fun character, and Buscemi sinks his teeth into this charismatic role. His chemistry with Michael Pitt is great, and they spend much of the movie playing off each other's banter. The settings interjected loads of personality into this movie, and the way 'Delirious' was shot was creative. There are some great framing and compositions here (expected for a movie about photography). The changes in color grating are particularly interesting, switching from a harsher tone before becoming more neutral, only occasionally exposing the image. It helped tell us the characters' situations and fantasies. While much of the movie is good, when the two leads split up, I felt it lingered on for a while. It set up some plot threads for the finale, but otherwise it felt meandering. Tom Cicillo's direction was fun, and most of the comedy hit for me, but I do wish it had cleaned up its script so the pretty good ending was more potent.
