really such a bummer because the ideas were so good! i just really could not connect to any of the characters in the present day timeline and was really struggling to stay engaged.

Overall thought this was pretty good. It takes a little bit to find itself and has some uneven performances but the ending is incredibly impactful. Another Sundance movie that is shot beautifully! These DP’s can’t miss!

Singing “Chinese Japanese dirty knees” to someone is actually insane(ly funny).

I love what this is going for. It’s a little disjointed structurally and thematically but it’s very well-acted.
