Filmen er ret smuk og stærk, og Hugh Jackmans skuespil er utroligt undervurderet og fortjener mere opmærksomhed. Dog er filmen alt for forvirrende, især starten, som er noget af det mest forvirrende, jeg har set. Filmen fortjener 100% et rewatch i den grad. Hele filmen er generelt meget forvirrende, men den er alligevel ret god.

What in the beautiful fantasy was this. Every scene felt like you were in an art gallery while being in someone’s dream. The plot revolves around Hugh Jackman’s character venturing off in many different dreamlike fantasy’s as he tries to come to terms with his lover’s illness in his real life. This film wasn’t terribly confusing, but the multitude of fantasies made me a little dazed on what represented what. The film did a great job exploring the theme of mortality in life through the character’s emotion. One downside of this film is it had the early 2000s sort of sci-fi feel, it’s hard to explain but overall just added a bland effect. The film was beautiful though, scriptwriters must have had a blast writing this beauty. Overall it is a 7/10, strong and emotional while also being stunning is very hard to do, it did leave me in awe, would recommend

It’s a beautiful movie both visually and the story, but there is a lot of Darren Aronofsky  nonsense. I mean super ambitious and you have to respect it, especially being a cool 95 minutes. Big swing that worked for the technical stuff but didn’t get to great in the writing department. 74/100
