i really don’t get the title of this movie tbh. it should’ve been called maya instead of babah. i expected the story to be centred on babah like his sacrifices, his struggles, the emotional weight of being a father, the things we don’t usually see. i wanted more of that. but instead, the whole movie just focuses on maya and her life choices 🤷♀️ gotta give some credit to the scriptwriters though for working overtime to make maya’s character as pitiful as possible, stacking misfortune after misfortune until she literally died 😃 (fully sarcastic btw) what’s funny is how the film keeps forcing the sadness instead of letting it happen naturally… yk one scene she’s fully recovered, the next a new illness magically appears 💀 really contemplating giving this film a 2/5, but the actors and actresses did a great job. it’s just sad that the plot didn’t deliver what is expected from the title itself. 🤷♀️
