Okay, that was just silly.
A slightly surreal 11-minute short about a fortune teller's apprentice, a young guard at Paris' catacombs, a lion statue, and how they all meet at their lunch hours, all of which may or may not be actually real.
Varda has done so many little things like this, where she has kind of half a fun little idea and so she just gets it down on film, and they're all, at worst, charming.
(It is fun to recognize locations in Paris now, the way I used to in NYC and Toronto.)
