The Machine Girl, directed by Noboru Iguchi, is a gory, ridiculous, absurd, and genuinely strange film. The CGI was undeniably terrible, but in an oddly endearing way. You can really see how much effort the filmmakers put into trying to make every scene feel as epic and over the top as possible, despite the obvious budget limitations. That passion and commitment give the movie a unique charm that makes it hard not to appreciate. The excessive violence, bizarre humor, and nonstop insanity will definitely not appeal to everyone, but if you enjoy wild exploitation-style movies that fully embrace their craziness, there is a lot of fun to be had here. Personally, I ended up enjoying it far more than I expected.
