acting was fine and they get bonus points for having a gay relationship thats just there without the fact that they are gay being brought up once or having any plot relevance. pretty inclusive cast all around idk it was nice

Concept came off as interesting for the first 10 minutes until the rest of the movie played out and nothing was executed well kinda made me limp first off we never get to see any shots of either bladecut setting up cameras or crap before kills yet there's always multiple camera angles in the footage they play back on the tv at home. Even the rules the dad gives her, #3 give them a show) implies there's cameras somewhere and a fucking mic stand and allat but theres not one anywhere i guess that means it's implied that its because of some supernatural power like how roger always comes back bc of some paranormal crap except Its so unclear and should have been explained it js makes it seem The fucking director forgot about ts aspect and this is one instance of the movie occasionally wiggling its toes past the line in the sand about parody and poking fun at slasher.horror tropes kind of meta humor bla bla but ts instance as well as all of the others are done Really fucking poorly and boringly The characters are half baked and before anything else what really annoys me half the time in anything is when they set up a romance and give it maximum 4 Freaking days to peak day 1 both these people are introduced to one another and by day 5 theyre Fucking and playing patty cake and going to morocco and Bloody axe wound does ts exact thing and its not even mildly tolerable because both of these characters as well as everyone around them are Pretty mediocre and just bad The 4 people out of 8 or something they try giving some personality detail to still fall short compared to even the earlier genuine slasher movies, The concept on paper is fine I guess its not terrible ts story about empathy and love and friendship clashing with family and impressing your pops and Tbh ts thing should have js been made into a TV show. the story is way more fitted to be a shitty tubi My Baby Daddy Is A Bedbug show and its even shot like a TV show where theres more close ups on peoples faces and more obnoxious slow-mo and bad humor and ts had to have been shot during 2020 because of the clothes the characters were wearing and how lowk dated it looks now the one compliment I can give bloody axe wound is that it's at least shot kind of decently though ts is one of those movies where they try to insert an original song every 10 minutes or there's a grating sound effect that carries the scene every other Fucking minute so idk Im not a big fan of these movies where they js expect sound to do all the heavy lifting in these areas instead of good writing and again even the songs are forgettable and sounds js like the olivia rodrigo chatgpt songs Freking annoyingThe kills are kind of meh as well the idea of using practical effects instead of cgi is good I guess but Its overall js so disappointing how lackluster ts and every other element is you could see they were sort of trying to meta commentary on how dumb people in slasher movies are and crap and maybe pay homage to the genre kind of but nothing was ever stretched out more than it should have been in order to be funny or memorable Basically every single aspect minus the directing kind of is way too tame and mediocre for Bloody axe wound to be anything other than annoying and disappointing and wtf does it mean when Abby says "They're just like us" when she realizes that Freaking high schoolers are people too not fucking chickens in the yard? before getting cooter did she think the rest of the population were scientologists ????
