LFF 2025 #2

Eye opening in a way that I think a lot of us are quite privileged to never have to even think about, but opens up a fascinating rabbit hole not just regarding disabled people and their choice as well of what the definition of "quality of life" actually is, which of course should be spoken about more but human life in general and how much or little control we may have over it without even realising.

This hooked me early and as I thought the focus would lie mostly on the discussion around assisted suicide, and it does to some extent but solely form the angle of people with some sort of disability, which has sadly become another discussion altogether. As such it becomes a bit meandering and repetitive in its discussion.

Disabled people should be able to receive government supported care and not have to decide between affording assistance and applying for MAID. That said, I found the idea of drawing conclusions about the intent of a dead person to further your argument profoundly wrong.
