With the Mystery Machine stuck in mud, Mystery Inc. ends up becoming housekeepers for the Addams Family while Gomez and Morticia go on vacation to the Okefenokee Swamp. A giant vulture like super villain known as the Vulture threatens the Addams house and Wednesday goes missing, so Scooby and the gang go to find her and stop the Vulture.

I don't quite remember this Scooby-Doo spinoff, but since I adore The Addams Family and stumbled across the full movie on YouTube, I had to click play immediately. Apparently this special is considered lost media now, so finding it floating around online felt like uncovering a weird little treasure.
That said… a few choices had me side-eyeing the screen. Wednesday wearing pink? Absolutely not. She would never choose a color that cheerful in any universe. And the fact that the Scooby-Doo gang managed to lose her because they weren't watching her closely enough? Disrespectful behavior toward my spooky child icon.
Also, why was Thing green? Who approved that?
Still, despite the odd creative liberties, it's a fun crossover and a quirky slice of Joseph and William history. Glad I tracked it down — even if some design choices are crimes against the Addams family aesthetic.

le combo de mes rêves.
en vrai le dessin animé est mimi et divertissant, le côté famille addams évidemment génial mais c’est parce que c’est la partie qui me branche le plus, le côté scooby doo est objectivement bien aussi ! les deux ensemble c’est une idée de génie.
c’est romane et moi si on était un dessin animé.
la relation morticia-gomez est très bien respectée, même les personnages en général, ce qui fait plaisir vu comme ils changent la famille addams dans les œuvres extérieures… no comment sur mon sujet sensible.
mention honorable pour le date macabre de morticia et gomez, son sac crocodile et pugsley qui s’enterre vivant dans son bac à sable, j’ai vraiment bien aimé 😭
