It's nice to see a new Greenaway that FEELS like Greenaway. Here we have everything that we know and love him for, the weird but impressive sets, the music, the extravagant costumes and equality important the lack of costumes. Many times throughout the movie reminded me of Greenaways earlier movie Prosperos books. It's extreme and contains alot of narration as the movie was and also as that movie it failed to really suck me into the movie and story.
With most Greenaway movies, at least of his earlier ones, I've been equally impressed and appreciatory with the movie as I have liked it. This time however I may just appreciate the movie while not really caring for, kinda like how I felt about Prosperos books, but to larger extent in this case. Still it's a solid Greenaway movie and I'm happy it exists
