Ooo I liked how it was filmed tho it was interesting
And the sound was brilliant and honestly everything did wrap up however weird it felt
It’s all there and that’s quite impressive to condense a concept like this into just what you need and very little more
But sort of maybe a bit too much more
Felt a bit emotionally manipulative but also not ? Idk that might just be me hating bc I don’t like George McKay’s performances all that much he’s just always cast to stand still and look worried idk man I’m sorry okay
It feels mean but when the only human emotional weight is brought to me this way it makes me doubt the integrity of the themes it’s trying to put forward and whatever
Stupid stuff to ramble about that ends up being lowk important ish
I maybe wouldnt be this sort of harshish if some of these scenes were ripped from some poor niche bbc drama man
Idk if they were written, acted or edited horribly
Or even all of them
But there was some tough moments here
Feels like this was maybe trying to package up something interesting but maybe not all there in something shiny and yeah I’ll say it like a bit performatively pretentious and then just not really flying under the radar bc the scent of mediocrity is too familiar

Picturehouse let us sit and stew in this keeping us in darkness til the end of the credits. The non-linear narrative is super well executed, and the failing industry town theme is lingering with me, but the star of the show is the sound design/soundtrack, actually ridiculous.
