Infuriating! It is beyond my belief and understanding how people can end up with these believes about their fellow human beings.

A few of my take aways. First: your child will be able to access far worse on the internet than the books in the library plus can get the banned material on the internet as well. Second: has anyone questioned what the adults are reading cause I’d be willing to bet there’s at least one who’s actually reading smut. Third: I’d be happy to show you what actual smut is cause what you’re banning is not . Last: why don’t you spend more time parenting your own kid than everyone else’s 😊

When librarians live in fear for their lives and people make such blatantly false and politically-motivated statements about "pornography" in schools AND politicians don't push back, you know we're living in dark times. A well-investivated and thorough documentary that's depressing. But makes me glad I live in a progressive city with a liberal governor (albiet in a battleground state dominated by right-wing politics).
