This was actually pretty good on rewatch fonda and sullivan deliver great rom-com performances this kind of reminded me of The Awful Truth with Cary Grant.
The film lacks in overall story cohesion, but it still is a fun watch with some funny moments and kept me intrigued on rewatch.

Not the sharpest screwball comedy in the history of film, but it has real life divorced couple Margaret Sullavan and Henry Fonda playing complete hot messes madly in love with each other. There is so much probably accidental subtext and it is juicy and hilarious to watch. Really loved Sullavan in this one being incredibly off the wall compared to how she normally performs, with her character's explosive temper being a lot more in-line with what she apparently actually was in real life. It's not great, but I'm certainly entertained and would gladly rewatch this with a lot of popcorn and a lot of context.
