Physically close to home, but not very close to any felt reality of it. Unfortunately I was going to either love this or be dissatisfied.

such a beautiful movie. was a big fan of the anthology style. i love that the lake meant something different to everyone else and carried a different story though not far from one another. big fan of the first two and the b&b sisters. b&b and learning to sail stories could be feature length or be drawn out if ever. the guy hunting the large fish story felt a bit lackluster.

Really lovely and tender collection of short stories. Almost overwhelming in its bittersweet summer vibes. Really really loved this, but maybe I’m biased as a Michigander and because the screening I was at had a Q&A with writer/director Sierra Falconer.

Sure, it’s a little uneven but the stories and characters are compelling enough to make this a very strong debut.
