One of the most inspiring people on screen, giving hope to social change in Iran! Sara is unbelievably strong in the face of tradition!
Shot so beautifully and many instances felt so contrived that you could have believed it was fiction. It didn’t stay that way unfortunately and the ending felt like it lost its momentum of the message Sara was fighting for. However considering her circumstances, I can understand why. We need more Sara’s in this world

found the story and unfortunate situation to be extremely interesting, surrounded by a sub-par documentary that feels just typical until the end compared to the other noms this year. to how gender norms and traditions in outside countries are, really just sucks, it’s extremely limiting for women to do pretty much anything and seeing some slow change in that dynamic in this film does attempt to show that there is still hope. and i like that
