it’s not good by any means, but it did it’s own thing and tried something new so… props?
unlike the ju-on sequels (and “remakes”) which essentially redo the same story over again (contentedly), the ring sequels seemingly try to outdo themselves by expanding the lore and sadako’s curse even when it doesn’t make sense (to the series lore or the movie’s own plot)
(like ju-on follows the amityville route while ring is closer to… saw?)
