I don’t know what it is but I have always loved this movie on rewatch I think it’s because of the amazing performances by everyone and just the story behind it I love this movie and I always will

after watching both films of Mary Poppins by Disney, I must say that for the second movie, Jesus she would’ve shitted on it anyways, even when I rated the first movie a masterpiece

Helen Goff, or P.L. Travers story is mesmerizing, so mesmerizing in fact one of the Sherman Brothers (songwriters for the movie) and who worked with the actual Pamela in 1961 at the Walt Disney Studios, cried while doing a table read of the script, saying “after all that women has put through me and my brothers, I can finally forgive her”

overall, 4,5/5
