For the first time I glimpsed true joy slop, a 34th Street-alike, something truly Rudolphesque, a frail sham of what a holiday film should be, and yet hollow enough that the whole experience left me sick to my fucking stomach. Maybe this holiday has never meant anything. It’s always been a hollow capitalist scam to sell us family connection. Fuck Swaze, fuck Curry, fuck me, and fuck you. Enjoyed the cinematography in a genuine way.

Showed my mom, because there’s still lots of snow in Alberta so Christmas movies are okay. She informed me there was no snow the year this was filmed so that was accurate somehow.
