Hard to rank because this is out of my typical wheelhouse. This movie was very well done, thoughtful, and absolutely heartbreaking.

Really inspired me to start watching more documentaries. I am not sure “enjoy” is the right word, but this was certainly both captivating and thought provoking, though at times very difficult to watch.

I’m quite sure there are a plethora of issues with the prison system where I live, but what the fuck is wrong with the south man?

Fucking cowards still flying confederate flags, getting rich off the backs of indentured servants, and killing them for wanting some human rights to be considered. Fuck that and fuck that Karen ass governor. May she rot in hell.

2026 Oscar Nominee | Best Documentary Feature> "Prisoners are human too."One of the most heartbreaking documentary ive ever watched. It is so traumatizing to watch. This documentary was one of the most, graphic one i have watched...

Graphic, we saw raw videos inside of what happened. We saw blood, excessive force, and aftermath that are so terrifying to watch. We saw deaths from time to time. I was gasping so much when i watched this since i watched "No Other Land".

Outrageous, we watched this, evidence was literally there, this documentary speaks for itself. We are watching beating to heavy injury even death. We are watching the aftermath of inmates that are beaten to death, blood everywhere. We saw the harsh conditions they lived in. We are literally hearing witnesses testimony. We should not stay silent after all.> "How can a journalist go into a war zone, but can't go into a prison in the United States of America? Like, I can witness a murder - we could be all sitting here and witness a murder - and the media can't even come on the state property. Because the media can't come into the prisons, more and more people are taking videos, and if we don't have these cell phones, we don't have a way to capture these incidents."Such a documentary to watch it is, The Alabama Solution. 2 hours of full evidence. No human being should have gone through any of this. Inmates, indeed, are still human.> "Let me show you the energy up in this block. Unity. Real unity. Black, white, mexican, everybody. We together up in here."I love the day when they all were united to stop working at all. The unity. It's the best part of the doc.

I am still full of anger at the ending, Gadson, killer of an inmates, 5+ witnesses that says Gadson are indeed killing Steven Davis, promoted TWICE?! such a shitty place. a fucking disgrace.> "Since the filing of DOJ lawsuit, there have been over 1000 deaths inside of Alabama prison system"1000 is not a small number. It should not even pass 100, let alone 1. Fucking blind or what are they?

Such a documentary The Alabama Solution is. For the 800th films watched, this was the best one to go through the milestone i made. In any case, i will look through the future to watch more films.
