TAYO ang bayan.
i was easily enthralled during the first minutes of the movie. a farmer establishing her own country because she’s fed up being a filipino? heck yeah!
i actually enjoyed the mockumentary format and how it unironically added a layer of realism to the film.
alexandra de rossi’s character—which is herself—is so funny. na para bang tinanggap lang niya yung role para manggago (affectionate). i admire cora, so so much. pati na rin yung mga elected officers ni cora, for all its worth, i admire all of them. kasi alam nila paanong tumindig—yes, even the try hard rapper, kahit yung boyfriend na napilitan lang pumunta, at kahit yung dual citizen na gusto lang maging SK chairman.
saludo ako kay ogie kasi bilang breadwinner ng nanay niya, kailangan niya ng pera, pero tumindig pa rin siya para kay cora. i also admire lorna’s kindness towards cora. at ekay, thank you for standing up with and for the truth and justice.
hustisya para kay john carlo!!!

my heart broke the most when Cora told Ekay that countries send us their trash, but we send our loved ones to those countries.

Need to digest this as I think the satire went well over my head. But good performances tbh and strong comedy
