i was so happy to see wigga bo from superstore try something else and im also obsessed with mermaids but this was lowkey disappointing. i think the pacing was a little off as well as them not making the main character at least a little more fleshed out. some scenes felt out of place and did not really make any sense. it was giving lars and the real girl kinda sadness but it just wasnt sad enough for me to care. there were so many elements they couldve dug a little deeper into but it all kinda felt surface-level and a bit rushed through. i also thought it would have a few more comedy elements with the cast they presented especially wigga bo like come onnnn but i didnt laugh at all 😭 most of the people i was in the theatre with i think mightve done some work on the movie either as cast or crew cause they were cheering when they saw certain names on the credits but i did hear a few people ask "what was the movie about?" and "were you a little lost?" 

i still recommend seeing it maybe you'll have a different opinion but also this would only ever happen in flordia so A+ for setting!
