It's kind of a shame that this got cancelled (no word of a 2nd season, so I'm assuming it was cancelled), because, going by the manga, they stop it when it's about to get better in my opinion.
The problem is its fan service and slow start, both are in the manga but the anime makes it worse.
Miko continuously ignoring the spirits, ghosts, whatever, gets really tiring real quick.
Julia is a great character but gets under utilised, especially when Miko could have Julia help her understand more about all this but decides not to, for no reason other then to just let the running jokes/gags run for a bit more.
Hana is... just there to eat food. And is unaware she has spiritual aura. (Miko while realising Hana seemed to attract them didn't know abouy the aura until Julia talked about it)
The series starts to pick up once the spirit cats that end up protecting Miko 3 times show up, unfortunately I feel the unnecessary fan service and slow repetitive ignore them for laughs made a lot of viewers drop the series in the first half and ended up with them not renewing it for a 2nd season.
