we always teach young people how not to get pregnant, we often forget to warn them about how hard it can be to actually become pregnant. Which results in the idea that it’s gonna be easy, because if you have to work so hard to make sure you don’t accidentally get pregnant, it has to be easy. and yeah, it can be easy, and as a person that doesn’t wanna be it, you should be careful. but then when it sometimes turns out to be hard, it breaks people and drives them mad. as woman we can often feel like we failed at being a woman if we can’t become pregnant, because that’s what we have been taught we should do. we have been taught that the only way to live a fulfilling life, is to have kids, and when that opportunity gets ripped from us, it’s gonna be devastating.
